The flag patterns of four branches of the Chinese People's Liberation Army were unveiled on Thursday.

2. Chinese passports gaining power
Chinese passport holders can now travel to more than 90 countries and regions around the world without a visa or by obtaining a visa on arrival, a senior immigration official said Wednesday.
According to international consulting agency rankings, the Chinese passport has moved up from 72nd place in 2021 to 60th in terms of global mobility, reflecting a steady increase in its international travel convenience.

9.Chinese company secures Saudi Arabia's first autonomous driving license for Robotaxi operations
Chinese autonomous driving technology company WeRide announced Monday that its Robotaxi has been granted Saudi Arabia's first autonomous driving license.
In the initial phase, WeRide has partnered with Uber and local collaborator AiDriver to launch a pilot Robotaxi operation in Riyadh, which began in early July and covers key locations in Riyadh, including major highways and designated downtown zones. Marriage registrations in China fell to about 6.11 million in 2024, down by 20.5% year-on-year, according to the Ministry of Civil Affairs on Wednesday.
China's marriage rate fell to 4.3 per 1,000 people in 2024, down 1.1 points from the previous year and marking the lowest level since 2020, according to the 2024 Statistical Bulletin on the Development of Civil Affairs.
In addition, 3.50 million couples divorced last year, down from about 3.61 million in 2023.
